A three-month closure order has been granted for a property in Cinderford following repeated reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB).
The order, which was granted by Cheltenham Magistrates' Court yesterday (Tuesday 20 October), was secured for a property in the Elmdean area to help protect residents in the local community.
The application was jointly secured by Solace and the Neighbourhood Policing Team and prevents anyone from entering the property other than the landlord and emergency services.
It was made following numerous reports of ASB associated with the address. This included shouting, regular visitors of all hours and criminal damage to the property.
A partial closure, which allowed the occupant to remain at the address has been in place since August, however offending continued.
Numerous breaches of the partial closure were reported to police and a full closure has now been granted.
The order will be in effect until 11.59pm on 19 January 2027 and the Neighbourhood Policing Team will be making regular checks on the property to ensure the closure order is being adhered to.
Failure to comply with the order is a criminal offence which could result in imprisonment for up to three months, a fine or both.
The orders are designed to tackle serious and persistent forms of ASB, they close a property partially or completely for up to three months with a possible extension of up to six months. | ||
